  • Let me stop you right there. Seriously though, I'd say 98% of the people I photograph say that they're not photogenic. That's no exaggeration. A lot tell me they have never seen a good photograph taken of themselves. Let me take care of that.  Being photogenic is simply doing the right things in front of the camera. And that part isn't your responsibility, it's mine.

  • We’re confident you won’t find a better headshot near or far. But we also offer a range of marketing materials. Different crops from full length images to everything in between, and group shots are all done here in the studio or on location.

We specialize in helping individuals and organizations improve their visual brand presence. Designed to create consistency, credibility, and engagement across all marketing, media and communication channels.

  • Yes. All sessions whether for individuals or large groups are appointment-only. It’s a private studio in a great location in Old Town Scottsdale, pre-planning goes into every shoot to get the very best results.

  • With every shoot booked, a preparation PDF is sent out to you with clothing suggestions, hair and makeup suggestions etc.

Clothing wise, avoiding large/distracting logos etc. is always a good thing. I love textures and colors that pop, as well as the classics colors.

For Business or Corporate Headshot sessions, if you’re doing “The Headshot Session” (see Pricing Options Page), bring along options. More than you think you’ll need. Business, smart casual, whichever kind of outfits you think you might need, bring them along. Even if we don’t shoot in them all, the more the merrier.

If you’re choosing “The Headshot”, bring along your favorite suit or business dress, your crispest shirt, your go-to tie. With all shoots, have clothes cleaned and pressed before the shoot if possible. Pay attention to older shirts which have collars that have become soft or floppy over time, or fit too loose around the neck. The fit of your clothes is the most important factor in them looking good.

  • Professional H&M isn’t really necessary unless you really just don’t want to do it yourself. I always suggest keeping it natural, like you would for an important meeting, for example. If you don’t use a MUA often, I’d advise against having one just for your shoot. Most images you see on the site are not using professional makeup.

Little tips like avoiding foundation with SPF are in the Prep PDF send to you, to make sure you’re 100% prepared.

Some people decide to do a blowout at one of the salons close to the studio beforehand (again, not needed if you can do it yourself) and come straight here afterwards. If you’d like, I can send you recommendations for salons close by, just let me know.

  • In my top 3 tips for a great headshot, subtle retouching would be one of them. Over retouching can make a great headshot look cheap, and a bad headshot look even worse.

All of the final images you get from me will be professionally retouched. I work with a lot of editorial publications, and we're seeing the start of a new trend for magazines, both print and online, for more natural retouching. Poeple are getting wise to the over retouching, perfect style AI headshot look. it’s not real and people can tell. The days of heavy retouching and fake looking features are, thankfully, coming to an end.

Sure, we could all do with a little bit of help in retouching, but I still want you to look natural at the end of it.

I want you to look like you.

I instruct the retoucher to remove any blemishes. Skin discoloration and skin tone is evened out for a really high quality, flattering, and natural look. Color correction, hair flyaways are tidied up, lint removed from clothing etc. This minimal, but highly skilled process is really important to give your headshot a high end, polished overall aesthetic.

  • Typical turnaround time for headshots are 7 business days from when you make your selections. If you need them sooner, however, just let me know in advance and I can have them expedited. There’s no extra charge for this, it’s all part of the service.
